Partners

Robert Guilfoyle Robert Guilfoyle

Senior and managing partner of Guillaumes Solicitors since 2001. Qualified in 1984 and specialises in estate and tax planning particularly in relation to establishing trusts and advising on complicated will arrangements. He has been a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) since 1995. Robert also deals with property matters and advises on partnership agreements.

Martin Betts Martin Betts

Martin qualified in 1981, became a partner in Gosling & Wilkinson in 1988, and is now a partner at Guillaumes. He has always practised in Weybridge.  Martin is experienced in residential and commercial conveyancing, lease extensions and enfranchisements and property work generally. Martin also acts for property developer clients.

Tom Hansom Tom Hansom

Tom is a partner and specialises in property and landlord and tenant law.  Tom joined the firm from another Surrey practice in 2004, having worked previously in the property industry. Tom specialises in all aspects of residential and commercial property.

Carolynn Tan Carolynn Tan

Carolynn qualified as a solicitor in 1994, and is a partner specialising in family law, particularly financial issues on divorce. Carolynn practised in Buckinghamshire for many years, acting for high net worth individuals, before joining Guillaumes in 2009. Carolynn is experienced in all areas of relationship breakdown, including divorce and disputes over property on behalf of married and unmarried couples. Carolynn is a member of the national family law group, Resolution, and a member of the Law Society’s family law panel.

Emma Newman Emma Newman

Emma joined Gosling & Wilkinson on qualifying as a solicitor in 1999, becoming a partner in 2003. Emma specialises in all areas of family law, including divorce, civil partnership dissolution, resolving disputes concerning children and financial disputes for married and unmarried couples. Emma is a member of the Law Society’s family law panel and an accredited member of Resolution.

Neil Sapsed Neil Sapsed

Neil qualified in 2004 after completing his training with Guillaumes, and became a partner in Guillaumes in 2008. Neil specialises in private client law, particularly in wills, trusts, probate and the administration of estates, and Court of Protection work.

Jemma Slavin Jemma Slavin

Qualified in 2005, Jemma joined the firm in 2006 after moving to Surrey from South Wales. Jemma is a family law specialist, and deals with divorce, matrimonial finance and children as well as issues relating to cohabiting couples.

Rupinder Hunjan Rupinder Hunjan

Rupinder qualified in 2002 and specialises in property litigation and civil litigation.  She deals in particular with leasehold property disputes, landlord and tenant claims, boundary disputes, easements and restrictive covenants, trespass and nuisance claims.

Jess Buttaci Jess Buttaci

Jess is an associate at Guillaumes, having joined the firm in July 2011. She specialises in a wide range of private client matters including wills and tax planning, estate administration, trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Office of Public Guardian work, having gained considerable experience in the private client sector since qualifying in 2003. Jess is a student member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Alex Tigwell Alex Tigwell

Alex recently qualified as a solicitor, having previously qualified as a legal executive.  Alex joined Guillaumes in 2011.  He specialises in all aspects of civil litigation and employment law.   Alex has experience of litigation in the High Court, County Courts and Employment Tribunals.

Ruth Digby Ruth Digby

Ruth first joined Gosling and Wilkinson Solicitors in 2004, before the firm merged with Guillaumes. A legal executive, she specialises in all areas of residential property work, particularly in freehold and leasehold property transactions as well as landlord and tenant matters relating to assignments of leasehold properties. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.

 

Victoria Sapsed Victoria Sapsed

Victoria joined Guillaumes in 2004, qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2010. She is experienced in small claim litigation and residential conveyancing. A member of the firm’s private client team, Victoria specialises in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and the administration of estates.

Roger Bowen Roger Bowen

Previously a partner in Guillaumes, Roger rejoined the firm in 2001 as a commercial property law consultant, following 15 years in the City.  Roger acts for property investors and has extensive experience in dealing with the acquisition, sale, letting and management of commercial properties, the acquisition and sale of businesses, and the review of construction documentation.

Paul Guilfoyle Paul Guilfoyle

A Chartered Accountant with nearly 30 years’ professional experience. With a Big Four background in the City and a wealth of general practice experience, Paul became a Consultant with Guillaumes in 2003. He offers clients a wide range of business and personal tax services. Typical clients include high earning employees, self employed business owners, landlords and buy to let investors, retired individuals, and those seeking Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax advice.
