Martin Betts Martin Betts

Martin qualified in 1981, became a partner in Gosling & Wilkinson in 1988, and is now senior partner at Guillaumes. He has always practised in Weybridge.  Martin is experienced in residential and commercial conveyancing, lease extensions and enfranchisements and property work generally. Martin also acts for property developer clients.

Robert Guilfoyle Robert Guilfoyle

Robert qualified in 1984 and specialises in estate and tax planning particularly in relation to establishing trusts and advising on complicated will arrangements. He has been a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) since 1995. Robert also deals with property matters and advises on partnership agreements.

Tom Hansom Tom Hansom

Tom is a partner and specialises in property and landlord and tenant law.  Tom joined the firm from another Surrey practice in 2004, having worked previously in the property industry. Tom specialises in all aspects of residential and commercial property.

Neil Sapsed Neil Sapsed

Neil qualified in 2004 after completing his training with Guillaumes, and became a partner in Guillaumes in 2008. Neil specialises in private client law, particularly in wills, trusts, probate and the administration of estates, and Court of Protection work.

Carolynn Tan Carolynn Tan

Carolynn qualified as a solicitor in 1994, and is a partner specialising in family law, particularly financial issues on divorce. Carolynn practised in Buckinghamshire for many years, acting for high net worth individuals, before joining Guillaumes in 2009. Carolynn is experienced in all areas of relationship breakdown, including divorce and disputes over property on behalf of married and unmarried couples. Carolynn is a member of the national family law group, Resolution, and a member of the Law Society’s family law panel. Carolynn qualified as a mediator in 2012.

Alex Tigwell

Alex Tigwell

Alex joined Guillaumes in 2011 in their civil litigation department. He specialises in all aspects of property litigation. In addition, Alex deals with all other aspects of civil litigation for private clients and businesses. He has experience of litigation in the High Court, County Court and Property tribunals.

Richie O’Dowd

Richie O’Dowd

Richard qualified in 2008 and since then has worked exclusively in Private Client work across Surrey and Greater London before joining our Private Client team.  He specialises in all elderly client matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Estate administration.  His clients value his friendly sensitive approach at what can be a difficult time.

Amber Uba

Amber Uba

Amber joined Guillaumes LLP in the civil litigation department in April 2016 from another Weybridge practice where she trained and qualified as a solicitor in 2015. Amber deals with all aspects of civil litigation with a particular emphasis on contentious residential landlord and tenant matters. She acts for businesses and private clients.

Paul Guilfoyle Paul Guilfoyle

A Chartered Accountant with nearly 30 years’ professional experience. With a Big Four background in the City and a wealth of general practice experience, Paul became a Consultant with Guillaumes in 2003. He offers clients a wide range of business and personal tax services. Typical clients include high earning employees, self employed business owners, landlords and buy to let investors, retired individuals, and those seeking Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax advice.

Victoria Pratley Victoria Pratley

When working as a consultant solicitor with Guillaumes, Victoria advises clients on all aspects of employment relationships, including drafting and advising on the implementation of contracts and staff handbooks, all day to day HR enquiries including disciplinary, grievance, capability and redundancy procedures, matters surrounding maternity, paternity, parental and adoption leave, flexible working, sickness absence, discrimination under the Equality Act 2010, TUPE issues, settlement agreements and more. Victoria also acts for clients when bringing or defending claims in the Employment Tribunal.

Victoria works with owner managed businesses in addition to supporting HR teams within businesses who have an in house team. Victoria also acts for individuals, usually senior executives.

Vikki delivers pragmatic and tailored advice in a personable manner and encourages clients to engage her at an early stage. This increases the opportunity for her to proactively add value and empower her clients in any given situation.
